One thing leads to another

As I said the other day, I have been going through my bead stash. I found a use for those pretty plastic beads - key ring fobs. That led to trying the fob motif in a "Y" Necklace.

I was using the heavier gauge macrame beading cord (You remember, from Fire Mountain Gems) that I had on hand. I don't usually use it much as it won't pass through size 11 seed beads. Well, as I was working on the aforementioned items, it occurred to me that it would work nicely with these ceramic focal beads I bought in my last bead order. I have been wanting to use them and have not known quite how I wanted to use them.

Here is what I came up with. Chokers and earrings with a casual look. What do you think?

As you can see, I have listed one necklace in My Etsy Shop. (See mini gallery in sidebar).

Then, I wondered how the (heavier) beading cord would work with my "Fans" design motif. This is how: (Remember, you can click on image to get a larger view.)

I almost forgot...remember when Scarlet said she had been thinking of what to do with those teardrop beads I got in trade? I made a "Fans" Choker with them, also recently listed in My Etsy Shop.

Scarlet is calling me, so I gotta go for now.

Dear knot gypsy, hi and how are you. I hope you are fine and well and enjoying the inner sparkle that each and avery individual bead has to offer :)

~I have been a regular browser since you posted the link in discussions, I really like the photos and the designs of the beads.

I wonder if... well is it possible to... um, well I noticed the beads on the previous page are a tad bit shinier than htese, it coulsd be the lighting. I myself like wooden beads, little itty bitty wooden beads. Painted, carved etc.

Whenever I get a set I usually soak them in oil or tint them with varnish so they sparkle more. The beads on this page are terrific no doubt. Do you think the photos could use a bit of sparkle? Like extra lighting or sprayed with water before the photo shoot.

I really like your site. I surf the net everyday looking for photos. I just downloaded some really cool space photos. THAT'S what your beads remind me of - little pearls of planets:)

It's just a thought. I logged in just to leave this comment. Do you dip your beads in fragrances? I do.

(check yOu later)

Thank you so much for leaving a comment to let me know you were here. I am glad you enjoy what you see, and hope you keep coming back.

Yes, well it could be lighting, I am still experimenting with various light sources, etc.

Also the beads shown here on this page are ceramic, the ones on previous pages are a glass and crystal.

I think it may be a combination of the two.

I like your ideas of dipping wooden beads in oils, varnishes, and fragrances. Intriguing...

The yellow beads are nice and using the keychain elements is quite clever.

I just listed your blog. Thanks for your support.
