Soapmarked!

Last Fall, I got involved in a local Farmer's and Artisan's Market.  It is a great group of people and I very much enjoy hanging out with them.

One of the other artisans makes soap and I do love soaps.  I have enjoyed trying several of her bars.  So luxurious!  She also makes liquid soap, lotions, chapstick, and a few other things.

She has a website so even if you do not live in the San Antonio area, you can enjoy her soaps as well.  Find her at Soapmarked.

One Strong Mother

As a mother of a child with autism, my niece recently began making weighted blankets after finding out they are good for children with autism as well as for people with restless legs and a few other conditions.  She reports success - one of her blankets helped a child with autism sleep through the whole night!

You can find her Etsy shop here:  OneStrongMother

New Work Station

New Work Station - I got a new folding TV table, 2 new desk lamps with goosenecks and daylight bulbs and a wonderful LED floor lamp with a gooseneck and a magnifier!  I am in heaven now - I no longer have to brave the heat and mosquitoes to take photos outside and what is not to like about the magnifier?

Figured out how to use collages feature in picasso for pattern making - utilizing space so much better (fewer pages per pattern) and began revising all my patterns.

KnotGypsy Designs has moved!

I have been thinking for months on how to reorganize my website to make it easier to navigate and I wanted to find a way to more easily offer my free downloads.

I have found it - Weebly allows embedding of pdf (with the pro account).  It also offers a wide variety of ways to build a website.  It has blog units as well as pages.

I have gotten the basic website set up and have uploaded some content.  Go check KnotGypsy Designs and let me know what you think. I hope it is easy to navigate and find what you are looking for.  I will (of course) be uploading more content as the weeks go by.

If Blogger does not object, I will leave this blog up as a record of where I have been.  I will probably edit some so as to avoid too much content replication.

The Basics - Revised

In pursuit of getting the book written, I have finished revising "Basic Knots" and editing  "Helpful Hints", and "Materials and Sources".  I have consolidated all three documents into one - "The Basics".  E-copy of "The Basics" remains FREE.  Find it at my Pattern Shop.  Don't worry, you won't be charged any money, just add to cart and check out as usual - download link will be automatically emailed to you after checkout.

Well back to work for now.
